Glamorgan E-Postal League - Rules and Information
Summer League starts in May:
Round- 3 doz @ 30m - 80cm face (This can be shot as part of a bigger full round if you wish)
(Winter E-Postal League starts in November)
A postal tournament league for all Glamorgan archery clubs to compete in. Giving a chance for anyone of any ability, senior or junior, to compete at a County level event without the pressure of leaving their own club environment.
The Summer Winter postal league will be 5 matches, one a month May to September
Clubs can register as many teams as they wish with 2 members per team.
Bowtypes, ages, gender can all be mixed within the teams as the results are based purely on combined team scores. The round is specifically chosen to allow any ability archer to take part.
To ensure fairness, a divisional system will be employed to group similar ability teams together to compete against each other.
Each division will be awarded it’s own winning team badges at the end of the season.
Predicted scores must be submitted for each team each season using the downloadable Entry Form (Click link on the left of this page), and will be used to place teams into the appropriate division. There will undoubtedly be a spread of abilities so the number of entries will determine the number and make up of divisions and will be determined from season to season.
Predicted scores must be as accurate as possible as a threshold of 5% will be applied to submitted scores. (i.e - Any submitted team scores more than 5% above your predicted scores will involve a penalty. The excess above the predicted score + 5% will then be deducted below the threshold).
Team scores can be shot at any point during each month, but results must be submitted to the organiser by e-mail BEFORE the end of the month to be considered. (glamorgan.archery@gmail.com)
If a monthly score for any team has not been submitted to the organiser by the last day of the month then a score of 0 (zero) will be recorded for that month.
League results will be shown here, with Division winners badges given as prizes at the end of the season. Winners of each division will be the team with the most match points amassed throughout the season. 3 match points will be awarded for a Win, 2 points for 2nd place, 1 point for 3rd place and 0 points for not submitting a score for the month.
Score sheets are available (Just Click the links on the left). However these aren’t compulsory and any general score sheet can be used, provided all the details and scores are clearly visible.
When completed all you need to do is photograph or scan the score sheets and send them to the Postal League co-ordinator each month.
